# How to transfer my portfolio from other brokers

Step by step guide to initiate transfers

**These steps apply only to non-ISA transfers. For ISA transfers, please see [Transferring my ISA](/help/trading-and-investments/transferring-my-isa).**

We accept securities transfers from most brokers that can facilitate transfers out of their platform.

1. **First, make sure you have [initiated the transfer request](/help/trading-and-investments/stock-transfer) in our app to ensure we can accept your holdings**
2. Next, fill out [the transfer form](https://lightyear.com/asset/broker/guides/Stock_Transfer_Form_Generic_UK.pdf)
3. Send the form to [transfers_uk@lightyear.com](mailto:transfers_uk@lightyear.com) 

And that's it, we've got it from here and will coordinate everything with your other broker! The time it takes to process a transfer may vary depending on your other broker and amount of requests, but we'll keep you updated throughout via app notifications.
