# How to transfer my portfolio from Freetrade

Step by step guide to initiate transfers with Freetrade

**These steps apply only to non-ISA transfers. For ISA transfers, please see [Transferring my ISA](/help/trading-and-investments/transferring-my-isa).**

1. **First, make sure you have [initiated the transfer request](/help/trading-and-investments/stock-transfer) in our app to ensure we can accept your holdings.**
2. Once that's done, go ahead and [fill out the transfer form](https://lightyear.com/asset/broker/guides/Stock_Transfer_Form_Generic_UK.pdf). Once completed, please send it to transfers_uk@lightyear.com

And that's it, we've got it from here and will coordinate everything with your other broker! The time it takes to process a transfer may vary depending on your other broker and amount of requests, but we'll keep you updated throughout via app notifications.
