## K&H vs Lightyear: FAQs

### Does Lightyear or K&H have lower fees?

Lightyear’s pricing is more favourable than K&H’s, as the table above shows. Lightyear doesn’t charge a monthly fee, while K&H charges 349 Ft. ETFs also have no execution fee on Lightyear, whereas K&H charges 0.32% per order, with a 3,49 eur minimum. On Lightyear, the execution fee for EU and US stocks is 1 EUR/USD per order, compared with a minimum of 3,49 EUR/USD at K&H.

What’s more, we don’t charge an account fee for TBSZ, while K&H charges 299 Ft a month (after the free collection year) on top of their regular account fee.

Costs add up over the long term because they reduce your investment returns, so it’s worth choosing a broker where you can trade at favourable prices.

### Can I open a long-term investment account (TBSZ), and if so, what does it cost?

Both Lightyear and K&H offer a TBSZ, and opening one is free with both providers. One of the key differences is that Lightyear is a foreign provider, so opening a TBSZ has to be reported to NAV. Our detailed [guide](https://lightyear.com/cms/TBSZ_e_Papir_utmutato_86543f374e.pdf) makes this easy, though.

As for TBSZ costs, Lightyear offers this account type free of charge to investors in Hungary, while K&H charges a monthly fee of 299 Ft for the TBSZ.

If you’re planning to invest for the long term, it’s worth considering how much costs can reduce your potential returns, and choosing an investment provider on that basis.
