## Who can join Lightyear?
Whether you're looking for an account for yourself or your business, we’ve got you covered.

### Personal accounts
[Personal accounts](/) are available to individuals aged 18+ who reside in countries where we’re authorised to offer our services.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus (Republic), Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

-   If you reside outside of our service area.
-   If you are a tax resident or citizen of the United States, or if certain legal or regulatory restrictions apply in other cases.

### Business account
[Business accounts](/business) are available in all countries where personal accounts are offered, except Bulgaria, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. To open a business account, you need to live in our service area and start by setting up a personal account first.

## Products you’ll get based on your residency 
Some features you can use depend on where you live and the requirements in your country.

### Money market funds (Savings)
Money market funds are available for all account types but only where they are locally registered by the issuers. We work with two fund managers, BlackRock and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and which one you get depends on your residency country. Together they cover all markets we're available in, except Belgium.

On personal accounts, MMFs are wrapped in a feature called Savings. On business accounts, they appear simply as Money market funds. Either way, the underlying product is the same. Read more about this product [here](/help/trading-and-investments/vaults-money-market-fund-mmf).

### Crypto assets
[Crypto assets](/help/trading-and-investments/crypto) are available in the EU.

### Interest on uninvested cash

### Tax-advantaged accounts
Local accounts that give special tax benefits if your primary tax residency is in the relevant country:

## What is currently not available
At the moment, there are services we don’t offer on any type of account. This includes options, CFDs, futures trading, short-selling, pre-market and after-hours trading in EU/UK instruments.
