The investment objective of the Fund is to track the performance of the FTSE Developed Asia Pacific All Cap Choice Index (the “Index”), less fees, expenses and transaction costs. The Fund employs a passive investment approach and seeks to achieve its objective through physical acquisition of securities. It invests in the constituents of the Index, making the same proportionate investments as the Index where practicable, or using a sampling process where full replication is not practicable. The Index is a market-capitalisation-weighted index comprising large-, mid- and small-cap stocks from developed markets in the Asia Pacific region, including Japan. The Index applies environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria and excludes stocks of companies involved in activities such as controversial weapons, civilian firearms, tobacco, gambling, alcohol, non-renewable energy and other activities considered inconsistent with the Index methodology. It also excludes companies that fail to comply with the United Nations Global Compact Principles. The Fund may use derivatives for risk reduction, cost management and/or efficient portfolio management.
