Verifying my identity and address

As a regulated financial institution, we're required to verify the information of our customers to keep the platform safe and secure. This means we may ask you to verify your identity or address. Verifications are typically completed within a few minutes, though in some cases it may take a couple of business days.

Verifying my identity

If we need to verify your identity, we'll send you a request through the app to complete it securely. We accept the following photo ID documents:

  • Passport
  • National identity card
  • Driving licence
  • Residence permit

Your document must include a photo, and we don’t accept copies or photos of photos. For national identity cards, driving licences, and residence permits, we'll need both sides.

How to upload the ID document

The upload link is on the Portfolio tab of your personal account. On the mobile app it appears below the main graph, and on the web it's in the top right above your Cash balance. Please don't send photos of your ID document via email, as we won't be able to accept them this way.

Verifying my address

If we ask you to verify your address, your document must show your full name and address. If it's a bill, statement, or rental agreement, it must be dated within the last 6 months. We accept the following as proof of address:

  • Utility bill (electricity, water, gas, telephone, or internet)
  • Bank or credit card statement
  • Residence permit, if your address is listed on it
  • Signed rental agreement
  • Document issued by a government authority (e.g. municipality bill, social insurance statement, or local government registry extract)

A couple of things to note:

  • If you already submitted your residence permit to verify your identity, we can't accept it again as proof of address, so you'll need to provide a different document
  • We only accept original documents. Photos of photos or screens, or screenshots of documents cannot be accepted.

How to upload the address document

On the mobile app: navigate to you profile in the top left corner → three dots next to your personal account → Documents → Upload documents → Proof of address

On the web: navigate to you profile in the top right corner → Settings → Documents → Proof of address
