About ESIE ETF

The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund’s assets, which reflects the return of the MSCI Europe Energy 20/35 Capped Index, less fees and expenses. The Fund is passively managed and seeks to invest, as far as possible and practicable, in the stocks that make up the Index, in similar proportions. The Index measures the performance of large- and mid-capitalisation stocks in Developed Markets across Europe that are classified within the energy sector under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) and meet MSCI’s size, liquidity and free-float criteria. The Index includes stocks involved in activities such as the construction or provision of oil rigs, drilling equipment and other energy-related services and equipment, as well as the exploration, production, marketing, refining and/or transportation of oil and gas products. It uses a free-float-adjusted market-capitalisation weighting methodology, rebalances quarterly and caps the weight of its largest group entity at 35% and the remaining group entities at 20%, with a 10% buffer applied to these limits.
