About ISDE ETF

The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund’s assets, which reflects the return of the MSCI Emerging Markets (EM) Islamic Index, the Fund’s benchmark index. The Fund is passively managed and aims to invest, so far as possible and practicable, in the equity securities that make up the Index, in a manner consistent with Shari’ah principles. The Index measures the performance of large- and mid-cap stocks across Emerging Markets countries that are eligible investments for Islamic investors. It excludes certain securities based on Shari’ah principles, as determined in accordance with the MSCI Islamic Index methodology, and is weighted by market capitalisation. The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding its constituent stocks in similar proportions, although it may also invest in American Depositary Receipts, Global Depositary Receipts and other funds to gain exposure to the relevant securities.
