What the Analysts think about LIND
Analyst ratings (Buy, Hold, Sell) for Lindblad Expeditions stock.
Bulls say / Bears say
Lindblad stands to benefit from resilient travel demand, with Expedia’s Q4 gross bookings of $24.4 billion beating estimates and underscoring continued consumer appetite for travel experiences including expedition cruises (Bloomberg).
Cruise operators are demonstrating strong pricing power, as evidenced by Carnival’s 7% year-over-year yield increase in Q1 and extension of booking windows into 2025/26, a trend Lindblad can leverage to boost its net yield per guest night (Bloomberg).
Robust travel fundamentals are reflected in Booking Holdings’ 13% growth in Q4 room nights to 261 million, signaling broad-based strength in travel bookings that supports demand for expedition cruise itineraries (Bloomberg).
Only 38% of the required onshore power supply connections for cruise and passenger ships are in place at major EU ports, potentially stranding Lindblad’s vessels and exposing them to environmental fines and operational delays (Reuters).
The global shipbuilding industry is facing its largest order backlog since 2007, with newbuild lead times extending into 2028, constraining Lindblad’s ability to expand or renew its fleet and likely driving up vessel acquisition costs (Bloomberg).
Stringent sustainability regulations such as the EU’s FuelEU Maritime rule require significant investments in cleaner fuels and shore-power retrofits; peers like MSC Cruises are already fitting LNG and power systems, pressuring Lindblad to undertake costly CapEx to remain compliant and competitive (Reuters).
