About Mobility Global

Mobility Global, which spun out of S&P Global on July 1, 2026, is a market-leading provider of automotive data, analytics, and software. Mobility Global consists of two segments: Carfax and B2B. Carfax is the firm's largest segment by both revenues and profits and is the market leader in the vehicle history reports, or VHR, space. The B2B segment provides auto manufacturers (original equipment manufacturers, or OEMs), auto suppliers, dealers, and others with a range of marketing, sales, strategy, and planning solutions. In 2025, Mobility Global generated 83% of its revenue in the US.

MBGL delivered 7% second-quarter revenue growth, with CARFAX revenue up 8%, while adjusted EBITDA rose 7% to $202 million at a 43% margin. That combination suggests a resilient, high-margin subscription base despite the costs of becoming independent. (Mobility Global)
The company has added several routes to increase revenue per customer, including CARFAX Homegrown, CARFAX Showroom, a new automotiveMastermind solution and broader B2B products. It also launched CARFAX in Germany, giving the business a specific international growth option beyond its established US base. (Mobility Global, Mobility Global)
Management is beginning to combine five formerly separate businesses by sharing data, products and customer relationships. It expects the benefits to build over the next year or two, creating potential for cross-selling and better operating leverage as Mobility Global settles into its standalone structure. (StockAnalysis)
Q2 growth came in below expectations because CARFAX’s revised go-to-market approach did not deliver its expected benefits, while softer activity outside the US hurt transaction revenue. Management therefore lowered 2026 revenue-growth guidance to 6.9%–7.7%. (Mobility Global)
The spin-off left MBGL with $1.981 billion of debt and only $186 million of cash. Management expects about $55 million of interest expense in the second half of 2026, which limits financial flexibility and competes with investment or shareholder returns. (Mobility Global, Exa)
Near-term earnings quality is under pressure: Q2 operating profit fell 15%, net income fell 18% and free cash flow fell 21% year on year. At the same time, one recent valuation comparison put MBGL on 29.3 times earnings, above both its professional-services industry and peer averages, leaving less room for execution misses.
