Nexa delivered a Q1 2025 EPS of $0.16 per share, beating the Zacks consensus estimate of $0.09 and reflecting improved operating performance.
In April 2025, Nexa completed a US$500 million 6.600% senior unsecured notes offering due 2037, extending its debt maturity profile and enhancing liquidity.
Nexa met its 2024 consolidated production targets and forecasts a mid-range zinc production increase for 2025, driven by higher output from Aripuanã and El Porvenir, supporting volume growth.
Morgan Stanley downgraded Nexa to Underweight in July 2025, citing a bearish zinc price outlook and operational setbacks at Aripuanã, which may hinder the company's production guidance.
Nexa temporarily suspended operations at its Cajamarquilla smelter in June 2025 due to a labor union strike, posing risks of smelting revenue losses and operational disruptions.
