What the Analysts think about LSB Industries
Analyst ratings (Buy, Hold, Sell) for LSB Industries stock.
Bulls say / Bears say
Urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) revenue soared 22% to $52.3 million in Q2 as volumes grew 10% and netback prices climbed 14% to $308 per short ton, driven by robust agricultural demand and tight stocks (Nasdaq)
Ammonium nitrate and nitric acid sales increased 6% to $61.7 million in Q2, capitalizing on strong demand from mining and infrastructure projects—supporting LSB’s product diversification and margin resilience (Nasdaq)
The El Dorado carbon capture and sequestration project is set to become operational by late 2026, targeting the annual storage of 400,000–500,000 metric tons of CO₂, which will position LSB as an early player in the low-carbon ammonia market (SEC 10-Q)
Q2 net income plunged 69% to $3.0 million as a 106% jump in natural gas costs to $3.50 per MMBtu largely wiped out the benefits of higher sales and a stronger product mix, highlighting LSB’s exposure to feedstock price volatility (Nasdaq)
Gross profit for the first half of 2025 fell 24% to $37.6 million from $49.7 million a year earlier, even though net sales increased, pointing to continued margin pressure from rising input costs (SEC 10-Q)
In spite of a $32.4 million buyback of senior secured notes in Q2, total debt stays elevated at $452.6 million, which could limit financial flexibility and heighten the risk of increased interest expenses if commodity markets remain choppy (SEC 10-Q)
