Bulls say / Bears say

Fiscal Q1 sales rose 20.6%, organic sales increased 9.2% and adjusted EBITDA grew 28.8%; ADS also kept its full-year guidance unchanged. This points to solid execution and growth despite a cautious demand outlook. (SEC)
The planned StormTrap acquisition adds engineered solutions for large, space-constrained stormwater projects and gives ADS new cross-selling opportunities. ADS expects the deal to add to adjusted EPS in its first year. (SEC)
Higher-margin Infiltrator and Allied products grew 14% and 13% in fiscal 2026 and together made up 48% of revenue. A larger share of these products could support profitability as the business grows. (Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc.)
Management said Q1 benefited from $25 million to $30 million of sales pulled forward from the next quarter, while residential sales were flat organically. It also said residential demand was weaker than expected, making the strong headline growth harder to sustain. (Investing.com)
Resin and transport costs are expected to weigh on results after favourable material costs boosted Q1. If price increases do not keep pace with those costs, margins could come under pressure. (The Motley Fool)
ADS’s net debt rose by about $587 million in fiscal 2026, and the planned $530 million StormTrap purchase will draw on cash and its credit line. More borrowing and successive acquisitions raise financing and integration risks if expected benefits are delayed. (Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc., SEC)
