Avista reported higher first-half 2026 earnings and attributed part of the improvement to general rate-case impacts, while reaffirming its $2.52–$2.72 non-GAAP utility earnings-per-share guidance. (Avista)
Avista’s four-year Washington rate-plan filing seeks recovery for grid modernization, purchased-power costs, hydropower upgrades and wildfire resiliency investment, potentially improving earnings visibility if regulators approve a constructive outcome in late 2026. (Avista)
AEL&P received approval for a 12.5% interim base-rate increase effective June 2026 and is seeking an additional 12.6% permanent increase, creating a meaningful regulated-revenue opportunity for Avista’s Alaska subsidiary. (SEC)
A large industrial customer’s earlier-than-expected move to procure power independently reduced Avista’s 2026 utility earnings outlook by $0.12 per diluted share, highlighting customer-concentration and load-retention risk. (Avista)
Avista expects to issue up to $90 million of common stock and $230 million of long-term debt in 2026, while evaluating up to $100 million of additional short-term liquidity needs; the funding plan could pressure leverage and dilute shareholders. (Avista)
August wildfires damaged electric and natural-gas infrastructure in Avista’s service territory, causing outages and requiring extensive repairs; the resulting costs, operational disruption and potential regulatory-recovery disputes create downside risk. (SEC)
