The investment objective of the Fund is to reflect the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index. The Index is designed to measure the performance of the companies in the S&P 500 Index, with each company allocated a fixed weight of 0.20%. The S&P 500 Index contains stocks of large public companies traded on eligible US exchanges, weighted according to the total market value of their outstanding shares. The S&P 500 Equal Weight Index is reviewed and rebalanced quarterly, generally to coincide with adjustments to the S&P 500 Index. The Fund is passively managed and seeks to replicate the Index by buying all or a substantial number of the securities in the Index. The Fund may use derivatives and other techniques to manage risk, reduce costs and improve results. Dividends and distributions are reinvested in the Fund.
