Everything about withdrawals

We only send your funds to a bank account in your name. For business accounts, we send to an account in your business name.

How do I withdraw?

  1. Select Withdraw on your Portfolio and select the currency.
  2. If you've deposited via local bank transfer before, your bank account is typically already saved.
  3. If you've only deposited via card or Apple/Google Pay, we won't have your bank details on file. The app will walk you through how to add them.

How to add a new withdrawal account?

Make a new local bank transfer in and once the funds are credited to your account, we’ll pick up your account details from the transfer and save them for withdrawals.

SWIFT withdrawal accounts, if available, need to be verified and set up by our team for you. In this case, please send us your recent bank statement below this article.

Local vs. SWIFT withdrawals: what's the difference?

Local withdrawal means sending funds to a bank account using the standard banking details for that currency, such as EUR to an IBAN, GBP to a sort code and account number, or USD to a local routing number and account number. There are no fees from our side for a local withdrawal in any currency.

SWIFT withdrawals let you send funds internationally, such as USD to a non-US bank account. We don't charge for this, but intermediary banks along the route often do.

Here's what's currently available:

CurrencyLocal withdrawalInternational (SWIFT)
EUR✅ After EUR bank transfer deposit❌ Not available
GBP
✅ After GBP bank transfer deposit
✅ After sending us a bank statement*
USD✅ After sending us a US bank statement✅ After sending us a bank statement*

*To set up SWIFT, send us a recent bank statement and let us know your preferred withdrawal currency. By requesting a SWIFT withdrawal account, you acknowledge and accept that intermediary fees may apply and that withdrawals typically take longer to process.

Why isn't my deposit account showing as a withdrawal option?

If your funds have been credited to your balance but the account isn't available for withdrawals, here's why that might be:

  • Your account details were not forwarded with the transfer. Send us a bank statement showing the account holder’s name and account number, and we'll add the account manually.
  • You deposited via SWIFT. International transfers typically don’t come with account details included, so if you wish to add a withdrawal account that isn’t local to the currency, send us your recent bank statement below this article.
  • You deposited from Wise. We don’t receive Wise account details. To withdraw to a Wise account, send us the account details document issued by Wise in PDF format.
  • You deposited via card or Apple/Google Pay, not via a bank transfer. We don't receive bank details from card payments, so you must make a local bank transfer to add a withdrawal account.

How long do withdrawals take?

Most withdrawals are paid out within 2 business days, but in rare cases, it may take longer if the funds from your recent sell trade(s) have not settled. After the funds are paid out by us, EUR and GBP typically arrive on the same banking day, USD typically arrives within 2 banking days, and SWIFT payments in any available currency may take 5 banking days.

As processing times can vary, previous times do not indicate the time your next withdrawal will be paid out. It’s best to keep the 2 business day estimation in mind when managing your account.

Why can’t I withdraw?

You can always place a withdrawal request for your unreserved cash. Here are some things to watch out for in case your withdrawal isn’t working as intended:

  • There’s no linked bank account for that currency. Make sure you have a bank account connected that matches the currency you're withdrawing.
  • You don’t hold available cash. To place a withdrawal, make sure your funds are not reserved for other transactions or in open investment positions.
  • You’re withdrawing a reward value. Rewards are locked for 180 days after being granted and can't be withdrawn during that time.
  • If none of the above applies, feel free to reach out to us below this article.
