At Lightyear, we’ve understood that investors are mostly interested in accessing two regions: their home market and the US markets. That’s why we build with a global-local mindset in our 22 countries — meaning, we want to provide investors with the world’s biggest, but also their local instruments.
In Estonia - home to an extremely active investor community and half of our team - the Baltic markets are one of the most important avenues for growing their wealth, making it our users’ top feature request.
And today, we’re so excited to launch Baltic stocks — 34 Nasdaq Baltic main market instruments from Infortar and Ignitis to LHV and Enefit Green! Check them all out here.

What’s especially exciting is the way we’ve launched this market. We’ve integrated directly with Nasdaq Baltic, making it our first direct integration with a stock exchange! These types of integrations allow us to build a platform which can independently offer users access to instruments from around the world. And not being dependent on different providers & middle men for this means lower transaction costs for us, which we’re able to pass on to users too.
And to finish this off with even more to look forward to — Baltic stocks will very soon be followed by local bonds! Keep an eye on our socials or your inbox to be the first to see the news.
