UK Gilt TS28/£TS28

Treasury 4.5% 07/06/2028 is a conventional UK government bond (gilt) issued by HM Treasury via the UK Debt Management Office. It pays a fixed annual coupon of 4.5% of nominal value, paid in semi-annual instalments on 7 June and 7 December each year. The gilt was first issued on 21 June 2023 and will be repaid at par (100% of nominal) on its maturity date of 7 June 2028. As a direct obligation of the UK government, it is regarded as one of the lowest-risk sterling fixed-income investments. Its market price fluctuates with interest rates and time to maturity, and returns are not guaranteed if sold before maturity.
