The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund’s assets, which reflects the return of the S&P Listed Private Equity Index, the Fund’s benchmark index. The Index measures the performance of large, liquid and listed private equity stocks from Developed Markets that meet the Index provider’s size, liquidity, exposure and business activity requirements. Private equity stocks invest directly into or buy out private companies, and holdings in Master Limited Partnerships are capped at 20%. The Fund is passively managed and aims to invest in the equity securities that, as far as possible and practicable, make up the Index, generally holding them in similar proportions. The Fund may use financial derivative instruments to help achieve its investment objective and may engage in short-term secured securities lending to generate additional income. The shares are distributing, with income paid semi-annually.

The Index is weighted by market capitalisation and is designed to provide tradable exposure to leading publicly listed private equity stocks.
