UK Gilt TR68/£TR68

Treasury 3.5% 22/07/2068 is a conventional UK government bond (gilt) issued by HM Treasury via the UK Debt Management Office. It pays a fixed annual coupon of 3.5% of nominal value, paid in semi-annual instalments on 22 January and 22 July each year. The gilt was first issued on 26 June 2013 and will be repaid at par (100% of nominal) on its maturity date of 22 July 2068. As a direct obligation of the UK government, it is regarded as one of the lowest-risk sterling fixed-income investments. Its market price fluctuates with interest rates and time to maturity, and returns are not guaranteed if sold before maturity.
