The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund’s assets, which reflects the return of the STOXX Global Ageing Population Index, the Fund’s benchmark index. The Fund is passively managed and invests in stocks that, as far as possible and practicable, make up the Index. The Index comprises a subset of stocks within the STOXX Global Total Market Index that derive significant revenues from the growing needs of the world’s ageing population, defined as people aged 60 years or above. Eligible stocks must generate at least 50% of their annual revenues from sectors associated with the ageing population, including biopharmaceuticals, life and health insurance, hospital facilities and travel. The Index may include small-, mid- and large-cap stocks from both Developed Markets and Emerging Markets, subject to market capitalisation, trading volume and domicile criteria, and excludes stocks involved in certain business activities. The Fund uses optimising techniques to achieve a similar return to its Index and may use financial derivative instruments for investment purposes.
