The investment objective of the Fund is to track as closely as possible the returns of the MSCI Emerging Markets Islamic ESG Universal Screened Select Capped Index, while integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations. The Index is a subset of the MSCI Emerging Markets Islamic Index and is composed of large- and mid-cap stocks across 24 Emerging Markets countries that comply with Shariah investment principles. The Index applies values- and climate-based exclusionary criteria, excluding stocks with exposure to controversial and nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, tobacco, thermal coal power and mining, arctic oil and gas, palm oil, recreational cannabis and severe controversies. It also applies ESG screening and reweights stocks based on their current ESG profile and trend. The Index is capped so that the largest group entity does not exceed 33% and the remaining group entities do not exceed 18%. The Fund is passively managed and generally invests in the stocks of companies included in the Index, although it may use other Shariah-compliant investments, such as depositary receipts, where necessary. Income is reinvested.

Das Anlageziel des Fonds besteht darin, die Renditen des MSCI EM (Emerging Market) Islamic Universal Screened Select Capped Index so genau wie möglich nachzubilden und dabei ökologische, soziale und die Unternehmensführung betreffende (ESG) Merkmale zu integrieren. Der Index ist eine Teilmenge des MSCI Emerging Markets Islamic Index und umfasst Aktien von Unternehmen mit großer und mittlerer Marktkapitalisierung aus 24 Schwellenländern, die den Anlagegrundsätzen der Scharia entsprechen. Der Index wendet werte- und klimabasierte Ausschlusskriterien an, schließt Aktien von Unternehmen aus, die in den Bereichen umstrittene Waffen und Atomwaffen, zivile Schusswaffen, Tabak, Stromerzeugung aus Kraftwerkskohle und deren Abbau, arktisches Öl und Gas, Palmöl sowie Cannabis für den Freizeitkonsum tätig sind, in schwerwiegende Kontroversen verwickelt sind oder gegen die Prinzipien des United Nations Global Compact verstoßen, und fördert bestimmte ESG-Merkmale. Der Index wird vierteljährlich neu gewichtet, wobei Gewichtungsobergrenzen für die Indexbestandteile angewendet werden, um die Konzentration zu begrenzen. Erträge werden reinvestiert.
