The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to provide income and long-term capital growth through an actively managed investment strategy. The Sub-Fund aims to invest in a portfolio of equity securities, primarily issued by companies domiciled in, or carrying out the main part of their economic activity in, the US, and in equity call options and/or equity index call options. At least 67% of its assets, excluding assets held for ancillary liquidity purposes, will generally be invested in equity securities issued by US companies. The Sub-Fund seeks to generate income through the associated dividends and option premiums. The Investment Manager employs a financial derivative instrument overlay strategy, systematically selling equity call options and/or equity index call options, typically with exposure to indices comprising the securities in the Benchmark. The option premiums may provide an important source of income and may reduce volatility, although losses from the sale of call options may offset profits from increases in the value of the equity portfolio. The Sub-Fund is actively managed and does not seek to track or replicate its Benchmark, the S&P 500 (Total Return Net) Index, which consists of large-capitalisation stocks issued by companies in the US. The Sub-Fund may use financial derivative instruments and may invest in securities issued by companies from any other country. This USD share class normally pays dividends monthly.

The investment objective of the Fund is to provide income and long-term capital growth through an actively managed strategy. The Fund invests primarily in a portfolio of equity securities issued by companies domiciled in, or carrying out the main part of their economic activity in, the USA, as well as in equity call options and/or equity index call options. The Fund aims to invest at least 67% of its assets in US equity securities and generates additional income through a financial derivative instrument overlay strategy that systematically sells equity call options and/or equity index call options, typically with exposure to indices comprising the securities in the Fund's portfolio. The option premiums may contribute to income and may reduce volatility, although they may also limit the Fund's potential for capital appreciation. The Fund's benchmark is the S&P 500 (Total Return Net), which consists of large-capitalisation stocks issued by companies in the USA; however, the Fund is actively managed and does not seek to track or replicate the benchmark.
