Lear is the world's largest automotive seating maker with 26% just-in-time market share. Management targets expanding share to 29% through conquest wins, supported by its growing vertical integration and expertise. The company has two segments, seating and e-systems, that generated 2025 revenue of $23.3 billion, with seating constituting 74% of sales. E-systems sells a variety of electrical distribution and connection products such as wire harnesses, battery connection systems, and battery disconnect units. Lear's geographic revenue mix is about 23% US, 15% Mexico, and 13% China. The customer mix is global, but GM and Ford account for about one-third of revenue, with GM the largest at about 22%. Lear is based in Southfield, Michigan, and about 46% of its 164,300 headcount is unionized.

Fiscal 2026 sales excluding financial services were JPY 46.1 trillion. Toyota also has a financing arm and manufactures homes and boats.
