Lightyear zet op basis van deze voorwaarden (hierna de Voorwaarden) promoties (hierna een Promotie) op via de Lightyear-App.

Lopende promoties voor persoonlijke rekeningen zijn altijd in overeenstemming met Lightyears algemene Servicevoorwaarden. Lopende promoties voor zakelijke rekeningen zijn daarnaast onderhevig aan de Zakelijke Servicevoorwaarden van Lightyear. In het geval van tegenstrijdigheiden tussen deze Voorwaarden en de toepasselijke Servicevoorwaarden, prevaleren de toepasselijke Servicevoorwaarden.

1. Deze Voorwaarden zijn leidend voor promoties van tijdelijke aard die Lightyear of aangesloten partners (Partners) van tijd tot tijd aanbieden. Klanten die voor een bepaalde Promotie in aanmerking komen, kan tijdens de Promotieperiode (zoals aangegeven in de App) de mogelijkheid worden geboden om een beloning (hierna een Beloning) te innen indien zij voldoen aan de deelnamevereisten en eventuele aanvullende voorwaarden die zijn gespecificeerd in de Promotie.
2. De concrete Beloning kan verschillen per Promotie. In de App of in marketingcommunicatie specificeren we de aard van en criteria voor elke individuele promotie. De Beloning kan de vorm aannemen van een voordeel (zoals het wegwuiven van bepaalde kosten), een fractioneel instrument ter waarde van een vooraf bepaald bedrag of elke ander vorm zoals we aan onze klanten hebben gecommuniceerd.
3. Bij bepaalde Promoties kan er aan toegekende Beloningen geautomatiseerd een willekeurige waarde worden toegekend. Elke klant die aan de deelnemingsvoorwaarden voldoet, ontvangt bij dit soort Promoties een Beloning. De waarde van deze Beloning wordt geautomatiseerd willekeurig bepaald op basis van de toepasselijke tabel hieronder. Welke tabel er gebruikt wordt, hangt ervan af of de Promotie voor een persoonlijke of een zakelijke rekening geldt. In dit proces worden klanten toegewezen aan een beloningscategorie op basis van de genoemde waarschijnlijkheden. Vervolgens wordt er aan de Beloning willekeurig een waarde toegekend binnen het bereik van de geselecteerde categorie. De bereiken in de onderstaande tabellen verwijzen naar de hoogte van de beloning in EUR of USD, al naargelang wat van toepassing is.

• Lightyear heeft alle bevoegdheid om zelfstandig te beslissen op basis van welke criteria klanten in aanmerking komen en op basis van welke parameters de willekeurige toewijzing gebeurt (onder meer de categorieën, bereiken en waarschijnlijkheden).
• Doordat de waarden willekeurig worden toegekend, kan de daadwerkelijke verdeling van toegekende waarden afwijken van de wegingen in de tabel.

4. Any Reward requiring deposit into an account (such as monetary Rewards or fractional instruments) can only be credited to (a) the customer's primary Lightyear personal account, for a personal account Promotion; or (b) the customer's Lightyear business account, for a business account Promotion. Non-monetary Rewards (such as fee waivers) are not subject to this requirement. Accordingly, in addition to meeting the conditions in Clause 1, the customer must successfully open and complete verification of the relevant account in order to redeem the Reward.
5. The Reward that is a fractional instrument worth a pre-determined amount can be claimed by placing a market order on the Lightyear App to buy the chosen fractional instrument. This order cannot be cancelled or otherwise modified. If the Reward is redeemed at the time when the market in which the fractional instrument is tradable, is closed, the Reward shall be made available once the market opens and the order is filled. By redeeming the Reward, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

• Lightyear does not provide any investment advice or recommendations by making the Reward available to the eligible customer.
• The Reward shall grant the eligible customer a right to receive a fractional instrument in the monetary amount as specified in the specific Reward. The customer is not entitled to any specific amount of fractional instruments. The amount of a fractional instrument received by the customer will depend on the market price at the time of filling the order.
• Standard Lightyear fees apply to the Reward. This means that a currency conversion fee is deducted from the Reward while converting it to another currency, to make the fractional instrument order. 6. For Rewards that can be withdrawn, they may be withdrawn only after 6 months (or longer as may be specified in the Lightyear App) have passed from receiving the Reward in the customer's account. If the Reward is a fractional instrument that is sold and/or the money is converted into another currency, the withdrawal restriction shall apply to a sum on the account equal to the Reward’s original value as specified in-App or via marketing materials.
7. Lightyear reserves the right to amend, extend or withdraw any Promotion if necessary, including for legal or regulatory reasons or otherwise at any time without prior notice. If the Promotion closes early, all qualifying applications received up until this time will be accepted. We reserve the right to disqualify a customer at any time from participation in a Promotion if they do not comply with any of these Terms.
8. Promotions are enabled for a customer who satisfies the requirements outlined in these Terms. A customer will be able to use each specific Promotion once or as specified otherwise in-app or marketing materials. A Promotion cannot be used together with any other reward offered by Lightyear (such as referral rewards).
9. Lightyear does not provide any investment advice and customers should make their own investment decisions or seek independent advice from a professional adviser. Nothing in the Promotion represents a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any particular investment.
10. The purpose of this Promotion is to introduce Lightyear to new customers who wish to actively and genuinely use the solutions provided by Lightyear.

If Lightyear has reasonable grounds to believe that a customer has engaged in behaviour aimed at taking advantage of this Promotion contrary to its purpose, including any of the behaviours listed in Clause 11, Lightyear may at its discretion:

• disqualify the customer from current and future participation in the Promotion;
• withhold any Reward not yet granted;
• revoke and remove any Reward already granted from the customer's Lightyear account; and/or
• where the Reward is no longer available on the customer's account, reclaim the corresponding amount, including by deducting an equivalent amount from any other funds the customer holds with Lightyear. Where Lightyear exercises this right, the customer agrees that the reversal or deduction is authorised by them.

If a customer's participation in the Promotion has been deactivated due to behaviour falling within Clause 11, it will not be reactivated.

11. The following behaviours may lead Lightyear to take the actions described in Clause 10:

• Funding an account to meet the minimum threshold required to qualify for the Reward and then withdrawing the majority or the full deposit within a short timeframe after the Reward is granted.
• Funding an account or otherwise meeting the participation criteria without genuine intent to use Lightyear's services.
• Creating, controlling, or coordinating multiple Lightyear accounts (including through family members, household members, or third parties acting in concert) for the purpose of qualifying for Rewards.
• Circumventing or attempting to circumvent the eligibility criteria of the Promotion, including by using false, misleading, or duplicate information when opening or operating a Lightyear account.
• Any other conduct that Lightyear reasonably considers to be a manipulation or abuse of the Promotion contrary to its purpose.

12. The entire value of the instruments you may buy when sold may be subject to capital gains tax. You can check the value of each instrument when issued and/or sold on your portfolio screen in the App.
13. Any tax depends on your personal circumstances and if you are unsure about any tax implications, seek professional advice from a tax professional. Lightyear does not take any responsibility for any tax implication related to this Reward.
