UK Green Gilt TG33/£TG33

Treasury 0.875% 31/07/2033 is a UK government green bond (gilt) issued by HM Treasury via the UK Debt Management Office under the UK Government Green Financing Framework, with proceeds earmarked for environmental expenditure. It has the same structure and credit standing as a conventional gilt. It pays a fixed annual coupon of 0.875% of nominal value, paid in semi-annual instalments on 31 January and 31 July each year. The gilt was first issued on 22 September 2021 and will be repaid at par (100% of nominal) on its maturity date of 31 July 2033. As a direct obligation of the UK government, it is regarded as one of the lowest-risk sterling fixed-income investments. Its market price fluctuates with interest rates and time to maturity, and returns are not guaranteed if sold before maturity.
